Online application for the June 2020 exams of the net has begun. Applications can be made until 11.50 pm on April 16. This examination determines the eligibility to apply for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowships in all colleges and universities across the country. You can take this test only for the post of Assistant Professor or for the Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship. The application should state what you want to test for. In the first case, if successful in the examination, you will be able to apply for the position of Assistant Professor only in the relevant field; in the second case you will get the opportunity of doing research or PhD / MPhil in any college-university or for 3 years (after getting the results of UGC or joining the study). They will also be able to apply for the post of Assistant Professor.

Net not mandatory: As per the 2009 University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for the Award of the PhD Degree) Regulation, it is not mandatory for anyone who has received a PhD to apply for net / slate / set for the position of Assistant Professor. Those who have passed the UGC / CSIR JRF test before 1989 also do not need to take this test. Those who have succeeded in the UGC accredited set exams before June 1, 2002, can apply for the position of Assistant Professor anywhere in the country, even without net. After that date, if the set is passed only apply to any college-university in that state, net to be successful in doing it in another state.

Educational Qualifications: 1) Must have a Master's Degree with at least 55% marks in Humanities (including Language), Social Science, Computer Science and Application, Electronic Science etc. from an affiliated university or institute. Near fraction cannot be taken whole number. Candidates with OBC, TPS and Physically Handicapped will get a 5 percent discount on the number. 2) Those who sit for the final year examination or those who have not yet published the results of the final year examination can also apply for this test conditionally. 3) Those with a PhD degree who have a Master's Degree between September 19, 1991 will also get a 5 percent discount on the number. 4) Applicants should apply on the subject at post graduation level. In some cases post graduation, you will be able to take the net examination and you will find the list and subject code of all the companies that are administering the net test.

Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for the position of Assistant Professor. In the case of Junior Research Fellowship, the age should be within 30 years as on 1 June 2020. Female, Tapas, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and Physically Handicapped candidates will get up to 5 years of age limit. Only centrally listed OBCs (non-creamy layers) will be considered as OBCs. Those who have research experience will get a discount of up to 5 years for the duration of the study. LLM degree holders can get up to 3 years of age exemption. Candidates working in the Armed Forces will also get exemption up to 5 years. In some cases the age discount will not be more than 5 years.

Third-class candidates will get equal discounts on candidates like age limit, number, fees etc.

Examination: The exam will be held on June 15 to 20. Computer based, object type. All questions are compulsory. The value of each question is 2. No negative markings. The test will take place in big cities across the country, in 81 subjects. In 225 centers. West Bengal has 5 test centers and their code numbers are: ASANSOL WB01, BARDHAMAN WB02, DURGAPUR WB04, HOOGHLY WB06, HOWRAH WB07, KALYANI WB08, KOLKATA WB10, SILIGURI WB11. There are 8 centers to choose from.

A total of 180 minutes ie two hours of paperwork in 3 hours, no breaks.

Number 100 test in Paper One. There will be 50 questions. There will be questions about candidates' Teaching / Research Aptitude Verification on Reasoning Ability, Comprehension, Divergent Thinking, and General Awareness.

The paper-to-test score of 200 will depend on the subject you have chosen (paper-two and paper-three in the previous rule). There will be 100 questions. The question will be related.

In two shifts, that is, two batches will be tested.

Download the card from the above website. Admit card will be available on the website from May 15th, and will not be sent to anyone in person. In addition to the Admit card on the day of examination, a photo identification card should be taken along with it.

Application Fee: The fee is about Tk 1000. Rs.500 in case of OBC (non-creamy layer) and economically weaker community (EWS) and Rs.300 in case of caste, caste, tribal, physically challenged and third gender candidates. Everywhere with GST. Fees can be paid as cash deposit at any branch of SBI through SBI / HDFC / Syndicate / ICICI Payment Gateway through Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI or through e-invoice downloaded, till 11.50 pm on 17th April ( In the case of e-invoicing, up to the working time of the bank).

Application procedure: Apply online by visiting the website www.ntanet.nic.in and www.ugcnet.nta.nic.in, between 11.50 pm on 16 April. Scan your recent photos (10-200kb) and normal signature 4 - 30kb) in JPG / JPEG format. The application number you will receive at the time of application will be taken later, tick.
